Singapore Computing Camp - 2011

                 SCHOLARSHIPS  FOR COMPUTING CAMP AT SINGAPORE

SOF and SoC (School of Computing), National University of Singapore (NUS) have again collaborated to offer Scolarships to select Indian students, to attend a Computing Camp at Singapore from 12^th Dec 2011 to 16^th Dec 2011.

40 students’ from across India will be selected to attend the Computing Camp. Last year SOF sent 30 students’ to NUS to attend the camp.

Selected students will stay at NUS for a week and interact with and attend Computer classes conducted by the famed faculty of SoC, NUS. In addition to attending classes, they will learn more about studying at NUS and will also do sight seeing. Students’ from various countries are expected to attend the camp.

The cost of the camp is Rs 50000/ 

Two types of scholarships would be offered by SOF:

- Full fee scholarships where the entire cost of camp would be sponsored by SoC, NUS.

- Scholarship of Rs 20000/ on the cost of camp would be sponsored by SOF.

Cost of air ticket, visa and insurance would be borne by the selected student. 

The criteria of sending applications are as under:

1 Applicant student should be among top 100 rank holders in 2^nd round of NCO or NSO or IMO exams held  during 2010-11

2 Applicant student should have scored at least 90 % marks / equivalent grades in final exams of school for year ended March 2011.

3 Students studying in class 12, class 11 and class 10 only are eligible to apply.
