SOF and British Council sign MOU to make IEO more valuable to students and teachers!

Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) and The British Council (BC) have joined hands to conduct the International English Olympiad (IEO) exams.

An MOU has been signed between SOF and BC  where both the Organizations will work together for the greater benefit of students, teachers and schools.

The agreement covers the following areas of cooperation:

• The IEO question paper will be prepared by BC – using its International expertise and domain knowledge in English language.
• The exam will be conducted / evaluated by SOF.
• The students will get participation / winning certification jointly from SOF and BC.
• BC will use its International faculty & expertise to design and conduct teachers’ training workshops to add value to knowledge levels of teachers.
• The workshops’ sponsorship, teachers’ selection, the costs and execution will be handled by SOF. Over 100 teachers participating in IEO exam from across India will be selected and sponsored by SOF annually to attend the residential program.
• Other areas of cooperation / joint working will be announced separately.

British Council is the International leader in promoting English language and conducts the IELTS - the largest English exam in the world – for admission to Universities abroad for higher studies and for migration to Western countries. It is an International Organization for promoting Educational Opportunities and Cultural Relations set up by the British Govt with offices across the globe.
